Corporate ski trips in Switzerland

Ski areas reaching 3,000 m, hotels of genuine international standing and Swiss reliability : for a corporate seminar, the Valais Alps are in a category of their own. Here are our three destinations — and how to choose between them.

Why Switzerland

What Switzerland brings to a corporate ski trip

Three profiles usually ask us about Switzerland : Swiss and Geneva-based companies, for whom the mountains begin an hour from the office ; international groups, who recognise Verbier or Crans-Montana instantly ; and premium seminars, for which the Valais hotel stock has no French equivalent at the same distance.

Altitude : ski areas running up to 3,000 m and above, glaciers included
Reliability : transport, lifts and hotels with Swiss consistency
Rail access : several resorts are reached without a mountain coach transfer
Name recognition : a real argument for a client event or an international group

The trade-off is well known : the cost per person is higher than in a comparable French resort, and there is the currency to factor in. It is a positioning decision, and we put it on the table when we quote — not at the end.

How to choose

Which one for your group ?

Your priorityOur recommendation
Housing a large group under one roofCrans-Montana — Six Senses offers 77 rooms and over 800 m² of event space
Impressing clients or a boardVerbier — the name does half the work
Keeping the budget in checkChampéry — 650 km of pistes at village prices
Arriving from Geneva without coachesCrans-Montana — train to Sierre, then a twelve-minute funicular
A board of ten peopleCrans-Montana (Chetzeron at 2,112 m or Pas de l’Ours) or a private chalet in Verbier
Many non-skiersChampéry or Crans-Montana, where resort life is not limited to the slopes

If downhill skiing is not the point, the Jura is worth a look : less than an hour from Geneva, it suits snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and husky sledding for a team day without the logistics of a large resort. Tell us and we will point you the right way.

Site inspection

We were there in October 2026

We spent several days in Crans-Montana with the resort’s convention bureau, visiting properties, meeting the Swiss Ski School and scouting evening venues. What we write about that resort, we have seen : real capacities, meeting rooms, walking distances, access. See the detail of our visit.

That is how we work elsewhere too : we only put a destination forward once we know we can house a group there, bring it together and keep it busy. For the French Alps, see our other resorts.

Who runs it

A Swiss operator, not a middleman

In Switzerland your seminar is run by Takamaka Geneva, our Swiss company (GAT Aventure Teambuilding Sàrl). A team based locally, who know the resorts, the hoteliers and the ski schools, and who stay your point of contact from the first call to the day itself.

That is what lets us inspect properties ourselves rather than resell a catalogue, and answer with first-hand knowledge on capacity, meeting rooms and access.

FAQ

Corporate ski trips in Switzerland : your questions

Is a seminar in Switzerland much more expensive ?
The cost per person is generally higher than in a French resort of comparable standing, mainly accommodation and catering. The gap narrows if you choose a village such as Champéry rather than a prestige resort.
Which Swiss resort suits a large group ?
Crans-Montana : Six Senses, opened in 2023, combines 77 rooms and suites with more than 800 m² of event space. Beyond that, we split the group across two neighbouring properties — everything is walkable on the plateau.
Can we travel by train from Geneva ?
Yes, and for a group it is often the better option. Crans-Montana is reached by train to Sierre then a twelve-minute funicular ; Champéry is served by the Aigle – Champéry line ; Verbier via Le Châble.
Do we need to book earlier than in France ?
Yes, especially in Verbier and for the larger capacities in Crans-Montana : the best winter weeks go a season ahead.
