Corporate ski seminars in Champéry

A Valais village below the Dents du Midi, the Swiss gateway to the Portes du Soleil and its 650 km of Franco-Swiss pistes : Champéry combines a vast ski area with genuine village life, two hours from Geneva.

Why Champéry

An authentic village on an international ski area

Champéry has kept its main street, its chalets and its church : it is a village, not a purpose-built resort. Yet its cable car opens onto the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski areas in the world with more than 650 km of pistes spread across Switzerland and France.

Village between 1,050 and 2,277 m, facing the Dents du Midi
Portes du Soleil : over 650 km of pistes, 12 resorts
Around 2 hours from Geneva airport
Gentler budget than the large Valais resorts

For a seminar it is the most balanced option in our Swiss selection : village life for the evenings, an international ski area for the skiers, and rates noticeably below Verbier or Crans-Montana.

Worth knowing

One ski area, two sides of the border

The Portes du Soleil straddles the border : Champéry, Les Crosets, Champoussin and Morgins on the Swiss side ; Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets on the French side. One lift pass, one ski area — but two accommodation logics and two tax regimes.

Swiss side : quieter village, Swiss francs, access via the A9 and Saint-Triphon.
French side : larger hotel capacity, especially in Avoriaz — our colleagues cover that side on Morzine-Avoriaz.

Which side suits you depends mostly on where your people travel from : a Swiss company will stay in the Valais, a French one should compare both.

Who runs it

A Swiss operator, not a middleman

In Switzerland your seminar is run by Takamaka Geneva, our Swiss company (GAT Aventure Teambuilding Sàrl). A team based locally, who know the resorts, the hoteliers and the ski schools, and who stay your point of contact from the first call to the day itself.

That is what lets us inspect properties ourselves rather than resell a catalogue, and answer with first-hand knowledge on capacity, meeting rooms and access.

Your seminar in Champéry, fully organised

Headcount, dates, proportion of skiers : we compare both sides of the Portes du Soleil and propose the one that fits your project.

FAQ

Corporate seminars in Champéry : your questions

Is Champéry easy to reach from Geneva ?
Yes, in about two hours on the A9 motorway, exit Saint-Triphon then towards Champéry. The village is also served by rail on the Aigle – Champéry line.
Can we ski in France on the same pass ?
Yes : the Portes du Soleil pass covers all twelve resorts, Swiss and French. You can have lunch on the French side and be back on the Swiss side the same day.
How does the budget compare with Verbier ?
Champéry is noticeably more affordable for an even larger ski area. What you give up in prestige you gain in authenticity and in cost per person.
