One day, no overnight stay

Ski incentive day

The short format : leave in the morning, back in the evening. To reward a team, launch a sales season or mark an achievement, without committing two days or budgeting for accommodation.

1 day
👥 10 to 150 people
🚌 1 to 2h transfer
💰 No accommodation
The principle

One day means one thing to get right

The classic mistake is trying to fit everything in. A successful one-day incentive does one thing well.

Without an overnight stay the budget drops sharply and the logistics simplify : no accommodation to block, no rooming list, no evening to produce. In exchange you lose the single most powerful lever of a corporate ski trip — the shared evening. So the energy has to be concentrated on one highlight, and you have to accept that the day will be a reward or a breather, not a working seminar.

It is the ideal format if your teams are based in Annecy, Geneva, Chambéry, Grenoble or Lyon : the mountains are one to two hours away, and everyone sleeps at home.

A day that holds together

TimeSequenceWhy
7.30Group departure by coach from your officesThe day starts on the coach, not on arrival
9.00Arrival in resort, welcome coffee, equipment and lift passes handed outEverything is prepared in advance : no queuing
9.45Free skiing or group lessons — snowshoeing for non-skiersEveryone has a place from the first hour
12.30Lunch at altitude, everyone togetherThe genuinely collective moment of the day
14.00Shared highlight : laser biathlon or snow olympicsThe image participants will keep
16.00Prize giving, mulled wine, closing wordsYou name the reason the day existed
17.00DepartureEveryone sleeps at home
Corporate team on giant skis during snow olympics
Giant skis : four people, two skis, and only one way to move forward — together.

The pivot point is 2pm : that is where the shared activity goes. A day spent entirely on free skiing lets the group split by ability and affinity — exactly what an incentive is meant to prevent.

Choose one

Pick one highlight, not three

🎯

Laser biathlon

The best default choice : competitive, learned in five minutes, playable by everyone, and the ranking does not depend on skiing ability.

🏖

Snow olympics

Rotating workshops in mixed teams. The format that mixes departments best and absorbs large headcounts.

🐕

Husky sledding

The most emotional. Allow one slot per sub-group : it is the activity that needs the most rotation.

🏔

Snowshoe walk

The calm option, in small guided groups. Often the favourite of those who do not ski.

Mountains within two hours

For a single day, travel time is the limiting factor. Beyond two hours each way, the time on site is too short to justify the journey : switch to the two-day format instead.

Frequently asked

Ski incentive day : your questions

Is one day really enough ?

To reward or celebrate, yes : a good day in the mountains does exactly that. To bond a team deeply, or to get groups who barely know each other working together, no : that effect comes from the shared evening, which requires a night on site. In that case look at the two-day format.

Do we need to hire equipment for everyone ?

No. We survey in advance who owns equipment, who needs to hire and who does not ski at all. Sizes are sent ahead to the hire shop and everything is ready when the group arrives — which is what stops you losing an hour at the start of the day.

What happens if the weather is bad ?

On a single day, postponing is often the best option, and we agree a fallback date at the time of booking. If the trip goes ahead, the programme switches to sheltered activities : biathlon in a protected area, indoor workshop, a longer lunch, wellness facilities.

Can you run a day for 150 people ?

Yes, by splitting : the group rotates through activities in waves, with a common gathering point at lunch and at the prize giving. Above 150 in a single day, transport and equipment logistics become the deciding factor — talk to us early.
