Corporate ski seminars in Crans-Montana

A sun-facing plateau at 1,500 m, 140 km of pistes climbing to the Plaine Morte glacier at 3,000 m, and hotels of genuine international standing : Crans-Montana is the Swiss destination we recommend first for a premium corporate seminar.

Why Crans-Montana

The sunniest plateau in the Valais

Crans-Montana is not a narrow valley but a balcony : the resort sits on a south-facing plateau looking across to the Valais Alps and the Matterhorn. For a seminar that changes two practical things — the light, and the fact that you walk from one hotel to the next without ever taking a car.

140 km of pistes, from 1,500 to 3,000 m
Plaine Morte glacier : snow-sure skiing at altitude
Piste Nationale, a World Cup downhill course
Groups from 10 to 200 people

Altitude is the argument that reassures boards : skiing goes up to 3,000 m on glacier, well above the rain-snow line of mild winters. The resort also hosts World Cup races, so the infrastructure is built for large events — which every corporate group benefits from.

The addresses we visited

We spent several days in Crans-Montana in October 2026 on a site inspection, hosted by Crans-Montana Tourisme & Congrès, the resort’s convention bureau. Here is what we took away for a corporate seminar.

Six Senses Crans-Montana — opened in 2023, 77 rooms and suites, and over 800 m² of event space : the only address in the resort able to both house and gather a large group under one roof.
Crans Ambassador — 57 rooms and suites, an 80 m² meeting room facing the Alps, 70 m from the Cry d’Er cable car. The right balance for 40 to 80 people, ski-in ski-out.
Chetzeron — a former cable-car station turned hotel at 2,112 m, 16 rooms and a conference room, reached on skis, on foot or by the hotel’s own vehicle. Our favourite for a board meeting or a mountain-top dinner.
Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours — Relais & Châteaux, 12 suites and 3 rooms, Michelin-starred restaurant. The intimate format, for a board or a client club.
ESS Crans-Montana — the Swiss Ski School, for group instruction : lessons by level, beginner initiation and on-snow team activities.

These properties do not play in the same size bracket — which is precisely what makes the resort flexible. We steer you according to group size, how much working time you need and the budget.

Getting there

Two hours from Geneva, no mountain road

Crans-Montana is about 183 km from Geneva, roughly two hours on the A9 motorway — a valley-floor drive to Sierre, then the climb onto the plateau.

For a group, the most comfortable option is usually the train to Sierre and then the funicular, which reaches the resort in twelve minutes from the station. No coach on hairpins, no parking, and an arrival that already feels like part of the trip.

Who runs it

A Swiss operator, not a middleman

In Switzerland your seminar is run by Takamaka Geneva, our Swiss company (GAT Aventure Teambuilding Sàrl). A team based locally, who know the resorts, the hoteliers and the ski schools, and who stay your point of contact from the first call to the day itself.

That is what lets us inspect properties ourselves rather than resell a catalogue, and answer with first-hand knowledge on capacity, meeting rooms and access.

FAQ

Corporate seminars in Crans-Montana : your questions

How many people can stay under one roof ?
Six Senses, opened in 2023, has 77 rooms and suites and more than 800 m² of event space : the largest single-property capacity in the resort. Beyond that we combine two neighbouring hotels — everything is walkable on the plateau.
Is snow cover a concern ?
Very little : the ski area reaches 3,000 m and includes the Plaine Morte glacier, well above the rain-snow line of mild spells — which is not the case in every resort of this standing.
Can we get there without cars ?
Yes, and we recommend it for groups : train to Sierre, then a twelve-minute funicular up to the resort. Around two hours from Geneva in total.
Where do we hold a memorable evening ?
Chetzeron, the former cable-car station turned hotel at 2,112 m, is made for a mountain-top dinner : you go up on skis or by the hotel vehicle and come back down after dark.
